Ostuni’s beaches

The coast of Ostuni extends for almost 20 km, and alternates long beaches with small and private sandy coves. Whether you want to spend a day at the seaside sipping an ice-cold drink on a comfortable lounger or relax at sunset in a small, isolated cove among the rocks, you have the perfect place to do so not far from you.
Also for this year, Ostuni was awarded the prestigious Blue Flag, an award dedicated to the Italian coasts with the best water quality and the most efficient tourist services

Below is a list of the most characteristic beaches on the Ostuni coast. Our advice is to explore them all, but if you don’t have the time to do so then our descriptions may be useful to you!

Lido Morelli

It is the northernmost beach on the coast of Ostuni, long and sandy, characterized by the presence of lush Mediterranean scrub. It is located in the heart of the Parco delle dune costiere, the most beautiful protected area of Alto Salento together with the renowned Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve.

Baia dei Camerini

The Baia dei Camerini is a large beach of fine sand, particularly suitable for children because it has a lifeguard for most of the day, it is close to the services of Villanova and the small village of Camerini but above all due to the fact that the water remains shallow for many meters, allowing you to let your children play in complete tranquility. Except in the central weeks of August, parking will not be a problem, you will find it less than 200 meters from the beach.

Creta Rossa

It takes its name from the bright red color of the land and the rocks on the seashore. The Crete Rossa area is a long path, crossed by a cycle path that runs along the seashore, which alternates rocks with small sandy coves. Not very crowded compared to the other beaches in the area, it is not uncommon in the low season to find yourself alone watching the sunset or sunrise lying in one of the coves that characterize this stretch of coast of Ostuni. The Creta Rossa cycle path, which winds for several kilometers along the seashore, is very popular with runners and cyclists of all ages.

Torre Pozzelle

It is an area characterized by 5 small sandy coves, and an ancient Aragonese tower that stands out and watches over a very clear sea. Park your car in the car park next to the first of the 5 beaches and, along the sea, choose the cove you like best to spend your day at the seaside on the coast of Ostuni.

Torre Guaceto

It is not part of the territory of the Municipality of Ostuni, but it is worth traveling a few kilometers more to see the pristine Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve, a protected national park. A characteristic train takes tourists to the beach from the car park, at which point you can choose whether to stay on the closest, but often more crowded, beach or walk along the shoreline until you reach the most distant and isolated points of the Reserve. Our advice is to bring with you everything you need (water and food) to spend the whole day by the sea in Torre Guaceto, and to keep in mind that cell phones have no reception in the Nature Reserve.
